Hattie Lou Farabee, was born January 6, 1934 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Ulmond “Bennie” and Mary (Hullinger) Somner.
Hattie gained her wings September 21, 2017, at home surrounded by her
family in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years 8 months and 15
days.
Hattie began caring for her younger siblings at the age of 8.
At the age of 14 she married the love of her life Lester Lee Philpott.
They were blessed with two beautiful daughters Linda Sue and Jean Ann.
They bought land and built a home for their family, which is still the
family home today. Their marriage continued for 25 years until Lester
passed. Hattie worked tirelessly to maintain the home they built
together from the ground up.
Years later she met and married Norman
Jamison, they did lots of gardening and fishing together, along with
loving their grandchildren.
Hattie's hobbies throughout her life included gardening, quilt making, fishing, cooking, and canning.
Later
in life she married Stan “Red” Farabee and they were married for 24
years. They loved going to garage sales, auctions, and visiting friends
often.
Hattie is preceded in death by her parents, Ulmond "Bennie"
Somner and Mary Ann (Hullinger) Somner; five siblings, Evelyn Somner,
Jackie Somner, Dorothy McKenzie, Samuel "Jiggs" Somner and Shirley Ann
Nelson.
She is survived by two loving daughters Linda and husband
Bill Dreadfulwater of Tahlequah, and Jean Ann and husband David Smith of
Tahlequah; grand children Kalea Dreadfulwater-Vinson, Shelly
Dreadfulwater, Stacy and husband Ty Fountain Jr., Nicholas Smith and
Fiance' Jamicia Trammel, and Jessica Smith, two great-granddaughters
Kassidy Slade and Mia Vinson, and one great-great granddaughter Ryleigh
Cole; sisters Eula Anno of Tahlequah, Carmen and husband Don Marple of
Tulsa and numerous precious nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family

care and support. Special thanks to niece Patricia Scott for always
being a constant helping hand, and loving Hattie.
