Hattie gained her wings September 21, 2017, at home surrounded by her family in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years 8 months and 15 days.
Hattie began caring for her younger siblings at the age of 8. At the age of 14 she married the love of her life Lester Lee Philpott. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters Linda Sue and Jean Ann. They bought land and built a home for their family, which is still the family home today. Their marriage continued for 25 years until Lester passed. Hattie worked tirelessly to maintain the home they built together from the ground up.
Years later she met and married Norman Jamison, they did lots of gardening and fishing together, along with loving their grandchildren.
Hattie's hobbies throughout her life included gardening, quilt making, fishing, cooking, and canning.
Later in life she married Stan “Red” Farabee and they were married for 24 years. They loved going to garage sales, auctions, and visiting friends often.
Hattie is preceded in death by her parents, Ulmond "Bennie" Somner and Mary Ann (Hullinger) Somner; five siblings, Evelyn Somner, Jackie Somner, Dorothy McKenzie, Samuel "Jiggs" Somner and Shirley Ann Nelson.
