Delphia Louise Huber was born September 28, 1935, in the Briggs Community of Cherokee County. She passed away on December 12, 2018, in Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 20 days.
Delphia began her schooling at District I in Pumpkin Hollow. She would go on to earn her Nursing Certification from Bacone College in Muskogee.
She and Huber as he was known to most were united in marriage in 1984 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. A year later in 1985 they renewed their vows in Fort Smith Arkansas.
Delphia got much pride and satisfaction doing her volunteer work. She held the title of Hospital Service Coordinator for the DAV for two years. She was also a member of the DAV and VFW. She was Sergeant at Arms for the Disabled American Veterans Auxillary for five years, and had a 21 year career selling Avon.
She loved bluegrass music, going to yard sales, and antiquing looking for bargains. One item “Delphia” collected was cookbooks.....although Huber usually did the cooking.
