She was the oldest of six children, Jennifer Ann, Wendy Sue, Richard Jacen, Rachael Elizabeth, and Mariah Leanna. Tammi was an amazing mother of five wonderful children including four sons, Wesley, Cody, James and Riley and her little girl, Jessica. When she wasn’t tending to the household, she could be found out and about the town, shopping, going to garage sales, or playing bingo. Tammi was a very happy lady who loved life just the way she found it. It was a very rare occasion to find her without a smile on her face. She had a very caring heart, always putting everyone’s needs before her own. That same love was shown towards her beloved cats, rabbits, birds, and her canine companion Dan. She absolutely adored her family, especially her grandkids. Some of the best memories were of family get-togethers for her favorite holidays, Christmas and Halloween. She was a very devout Christian by faith, and attended a variety of churches from Baptist to Pentecostal. It was on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020 the Lord called Tammi home from her many labors at the age of 49 years, 10 months, 21 days. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is now reunited with her grandparents, Marion and Annie Lee (Farmer) Rice and Orville and Vida (Long) Rose, one aunt, Nancy Duncan, one uncle, James Rice, and her beloved baby boy Dillon Ryan Yeager, who passed in 1991.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Wesley Dale Yeager of Oklahoma City, OK, Jessica Lynn Yeager of Springdale, AR, Cody Lee Yeager of Fayetteville, AR, James Matthew Sims of Springdale, AR, and Riley Blakely of MO. Obituary - Coeta M Webb June 5, 1935 - July 14, 2020

Coeta M Webb

June 5, 1935 - July 14, 2020

Obituary for Coeta M Webb

Coeta Allie Mae Webb, 85 years old, peacefully returned to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was the treasured wife and widow of Marion Franklin 'Bear' Webb. They lovingly shared 60 years of marriage before Bear's passing.

Coeta was the first born child of Thomas Dixon Spears and Philadelphia (Delphia) Mae Perry born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on June 05, 1935.

She attended school at Briggs, Tahlequah Public Schools, Mountain Park and Granite High School, where she graduated in 1953. Coeta worked in cafes, various clothing and grocery stores, including S and W Grocery, in which she was co-owner; and, worked as a cook at Camp Egan where the summer staff and summer campers lovingly referred to her as 'Granny'.

Coeta met the love of her life in Mountain Park,Oklahoma in 1949. They eloped July 07, 1955 after Bear returned from serving in the US Marine Corps, First Marine Division. It was then that their 60+ year love story began.

They were soon blessed with children Coeta Elaine Wilson (Ron), Bennie Thomas ( Lora) , Elizabeth Dawn Northrup (Marshal), Marian June Turner (Tim), and Paul Raedel(Jodie).
Coeta was blessed with a caring, generous nature and would put others' needs ahead of her own in many instances, without hesitation. Coeta demonstrated a great love for her children, grand children, and great grandchildren. She lovingly and patiently taught them to cook, bake, and sew. Little did they know they were being instructed by a multiple and numerous blue ribbon winner!

Coeta's quick wit, charm, sense of humor, and lively stories made for a joyful and memorable visit for all those she encountered.

She began singing gospel songs with her daddy while attending Wolf Springs church as a child. She would then later sing quartet gospel with her daughter's. Coeta had a beautiful clear tone, which strongly resembled the late, great Kitty Wells. Her voice could be heard throughout the house as a favorite song broadcast on the radio.

Coeta especially enjoyed tending her flowers and admiring their sublime beauty. Among her favorites were Irises, Rose of Sharon, and Marigolds. She loved wild roses and blue Oklahoma wildflowers.

Above all, Coeta consistently demonstrated an unwavering, steadfast, and true faith in the Lord. She faithfully prayed for her family, and relied greatly on the Lord as her Master Physician. She said," He's the best doctor I could have." She never had a surgery in all of her 85 years. And, up until returning to her Heavenly home, she still praised and thanked the Lord for the blessings of her life and family.

She was a pillar of strength and ready to greet and stand before the Lord. She was prepared to meet her 'Bear', her dad and Mom, brothers Tommy, Donnie, and Jimmy Spears: sister Gayle McCurley, all who preceded her Heavenly Return.

She leaves behind her five children and spouses, 12 grandchildren and 15 great grand children; sister Patricia Whiting, (Ron), Georgina Wilson; Erma Rogers(Ed); brothers Ron Spears, Denver Spears (Donna); Phillip Wilson ( Margie) ;sisters-in-law Carleta Spears and Patty Spears, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dedication service Purple Heart memorial

Today I thought I would share some pictures from the dedication of the flower beds at the memorial for the Veterans - Military Order of Purple Heart in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

One flower bed is to recognize two Purple Heart recipients, Nelda Littlejohn and Becky Wolfe. The recipients are pictured here with Don Nichols, Commander of the MOPH, and Mayor Sue Catron.

This flower bed is sponsored by the VFWA Post #3707, (Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary). We have agreed to maintain it forever as an auxiliary.

This granite (will be placed on a concrete slab later) recognizes the current officers of the VFWA Post #3707 and the coordinator for the Military Order of Purple Heart.

I had the honor of placing a wreath for the Female Veterans who have passed at their flower bed while Taps was played from the hill.
The Female Veterans flower bed has red flowers. Sorry no picture.

The memorial base has been placed and is surrounded by granite, engraved to honor many. A bridge, sidewalks, antique street lamps,  benches have been placed for ease in visiting the memorial.

                                             Harold Ogden

The statue for the memorial is still in progress and may be placed as soon as September 2020.

A full dedication will take place on November 7, 2020 with many dignitaries on hand.

The memorial is located in front of Reasor's between the parking lot and Muskogee Avenue. Please stop by and visit.
