Janita Lajean Fields Yanez was born on Sunday April 1st, 1979 in Ventura, CA, the daughter of John and Cynthia (Starr) Fields. She grew up with one sister, Jennifer and one brother, James. The family relocated to the Tahlequah area and Janita graduated from Sequoyah High School in 1997, and decided on the medical profession of a phlebotomist. She earned a living for her family at WW Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah. The best part of any day for Janita was spending time with her children and family, she adored them. She was the proud mother of Randall, Everett, and Justus. Life was wonderful for Janita, she made friends everywhere she went. She had the smile that never stopped and the ability to make a room full of strangers her friends. She never stopped seeing the good in people. She loved sports, especially fishing, or yelling for her favorite football players, the Sooner and the Dallas Cowboys! She enjoyed covering her eyes to another episode of “The Walking Dead”, going out to catch a little singing or a little dancing, or just hanging out with her friends. It was all good. She was outgoing and bubbly, and always found a way to make you smile. Unfortunately, her life was all too brief, and Janita passed from this life on Tuesday, July 14th, 2020 in Tulsa, OK. She was 41 years old and will never be replaced.
She is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Tom Fields, Claudia Justus, maternal grandfather, Douglas Starr, and her first born son, Randall Huffman.
Those left to cherish her memory include husband, Scott Yanez, her son and daughter, her sister, Jennifer Johnson and husband Christopher of Ft. Gibson, OK, and her brother, James Fields and Companion Kortney Dobson of Hulbert, OK. She also leaves her mother and father, John and Cynthia Fields of Tahlequah, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
