Obituary - Edward Leon Mayfield March 22, 1953 – August 25, 2020

Edward Leon Mayfield

March 22, 1953August 25, 2020
Obituary of Edward Leon Mayfield

Edward Leon Mayfield passed from this life on Tuesday, August 25th, 2020 at his home in Moody, OK, surrounded by his family. He was born on Sunday, March 22nd, 1953 in Exeter, CA, the son of Thorvel and Maxine Mayfield. He grew up with his two brothers and two sisters, Jim Mayfield, Mike Wilson, Dixie McCoy, and Lorinda Ostrander. He was a graduate of Exeter High School and later began earning a living as a Press Operator for Sequoia Pacific in Exeter, CA, where they mass produced ballots, and all types of paper items for industry. Eddie had the personality that made everyone he met his friend, he could carry on a conversation with a perfect stranger. He also knew his own mind and had no problem expressing his thoughts when asked for them. He liked to congregate around his friends and liked spending a little time out at the casino. He was always up for going to Wild Wings or indulging in some tacos at the house. He enjoyed watching a good movie or watching some of the old shows on TV. He would get on the phone and talk forever about all the old times with his cousin, Linda Parks. He had a constant canine companion that kept him company and laid at his feet. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and never tired of hearing what they were up to. His health began to fade and he was confined to bed. He kept his smile and would flash it at you from time to time. He passed at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 3 days. He will be greatly missed.

Eddie is preceded in death by his grandparents, his Mom and Dad, one son, Wesley Mayfield, one brother, Mike Wilson and one sister, Dixie McCoy.

Those left to cherish his memory include his four children, Tonya Lambert and husband Bryant of Visalia, CA, Jennifer Ann Harr of Maine, Eddie J. Mayfield of Maine, and Ian Lee Shaw of Clovis, CA, he leaves one brother, Jim Mayfield and wife Wanda and one sister Lorinda Ostrander and husband Bob of the home in Moody. He lives on through his six grandchildren, Kayla Lambert, Wesley Lambert, Jesse Lambert, Kalon Mayfield, Brooklyn Shaw and Zoe, two great grandchildren, Elly Rain and Benny Blue, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

The family would like to take this time to thank the wonderful staff of Hometown Hospice especially the nurses, Amanda, Paula and Candy and the Chaplain, Alan, for all their loving care. Eddie would like you to remember him, and his smile and his love for life with “Til we meet again.” At Eddie’s request, there are no services planned.

Obituary - STANLEY RICHARD ROSE – March 25, 1954 – August 18, 2020

 STANLEY RICHARD ROSE –

March 25, 1954August 18, 2020
 Obituary of Stanley Richard Rose

The family of Stanley Richard Rose will have a memorial Service to remember this wonderful son, husband, father and grandfather of Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Church Of God in Keys, OK with the Pastor, Mr. Floyd Saffell officiating. His family will receive guests for his visitation on Friday, August 21st, 2020 at Reed-Culver Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah, OK. Online condolences for his family may be left at www.reedculver.com.

His honorary pallbearers include his son, grandsons, and brothers, Richard Rose, Wesley Yeager, Cody Yeager, AJ McHenry, Matthew Sims, Shelby Rose, Jaden Rose, Justen Rose, Troy Rose, Roy Rose and Ike Rose.

Stanley Richard rose was born on Thursday, March 25th, 1954 in Tulsa, OK, the son of Orville Albert and Vida Beatrice (Long) Rose. He was raised in a family with five brothers and one sister, Michael, twins, Roy and Troy Rose, Larry, Ina and Ike. He started school at Keota and then Tahlequah. He met and married his best friend, Karen Sue Rice on September 21st, 1972 in Tahlequah, OK at his parent’s home. This union was blessed with five daughters and one son, Tammi, Jennifer, Wendy, Richard, Rachael, and Mariah. Stanley worked construction in the carpentry industry. He also worked as a Sanitation Technician at the Hulbert Schools for 12 years. He was a family man first and foremost, and his wife and children were very important to Stanley. He worked hard from sun up to sun down and then came home and started working around the house again! He kept his yard and gardens immaculate, and he raised some of the best flowers and vegetables you have ever seen. He loved hunting, and enjoyed chasing after the deer, coon, and rabbits in the area, and then a little fishing at his favorite spot. His favorite relaxation was sitting on his porch with Karen at his side, and admiring the view of the deer from his own backyard. He was quiet, and contemplative, laid back and one hard working man. He was tender hearted and would help anyone that asked him for his assistance. He was never too busy to spend time with his adored grandchildren, and sharing a smile or a story. Once the grandkids figured out how to make him smile, they loved to see that grin on his face. He adored them. He was a Christian by faith, and an associate pastor at Liberty Tabernacle in Tahlequah in the late 80’s, and served his Lord and Savior all the days of his life. His health failed him and the Lord called this loving kind and gentle man home from his family and his many labors on Tuesday, August 18th, 2020 in Tahlequah, OK with his family by his side. He was 66 years old and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Henery Anderson and Lina (McGuire) Long and Richard and Isabelle (Dole) Rose. He is also preceded by his mother, father, two brothers Larry and Michael and his adored daughter, Tammi Sims earlier in the month.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 48 years, Karen Sue Rose of the home, and his children, Jennifer McHenry and Billy Cooper of Woodall, OK, Wendy Foster and husband Travis of Peggs, OK, Richard Rose and wife Stephanie of Locust Grove, OK, Rachael Rose of the home in Locust Grove, and Mariah Rose of Chouteau, OK. He leaves his brothers and sister, Roy Rose and wife Penny of Hulbert, OK, Troy Rose and wife Janet of Moody, OK, Ina Bell Trammel and husband Gerald of Moody, OK, and Ike Rose and wife Sue of Tahlequah, OK. He lives on in his 16 grandchildren, Wesley Yeager, Jessica Yeager, Cody Yeager, Matthew Sims, Angel Callie and husband James, Hannah McHenry, AJ McHenry, Kaity McHenry, Shelby Rose, Sharae Rose, Jaden Rose, Justen Rose, Jaxyn Rose, Navaya Lee, Savannah Rose, and Keaten Skinner. She was born in Moody, Oklahoma on May 20, 1944 to Joe Drywater and Lucy (Sands) Drywater. Rosemary attended Moody Public Schools and finished through her 8th grade year.

Rosie met Jack Ross in 1962. Jack swept her off her feet and soon began a life of love and adventure together. They raised four children: Anthony, Angie, Nikki, and Jamie. Rosie enjoyed many things in her life. She was fluent in her language and loved sharing it her friends and family. Her second passion was her family and grandkids. Rosemary and Jack waited a long time to become grandparents, and once the grandkids started coming, they didn’t stop. Rosie always loved when she had her kids and grandkids at the Ross Ranch. She would always have her famous homemade biscuits and a pot of beans waiting for them in her kitchen.

Rosie is proceeded in death by her husband, Jack Ross; her siblings Irene Samms, Bill Drywater, Pauline Cheater, Gorge Drywater, Janie Fields, Jessie Chochran, and Mary Brackett; and her parents Joe and Lucy Drywater.
