David Daniel Johnson: 1960-2020
Moody, Oklahoma- David Daniel Johnson, 60, of Moody Oklahoma, died on September 1st, 2020, at home after a brave battle of a stroke and vasculitus.
Born Feb, 6, 1960, in Longmont, Colorado, to Audrey Johnson, and to the late Jess Johnson. He grew up in Tahlequah Oklahoma. He woke up every day to attend to his cattle and proceeded to attend the Gideon Fire Dept. David married Helen Johnson on June 30th, 1984. They raised a beautiful farm together in Tahlequah Oklahoma in 1982.
He worked at Cabot-Norit in the industrial park in Pryor Oklahoma for 21 years. He was a supervisor and he retired in 2018 due to his stroke.
David greatly enjoyed Nascar racing, football, fire fighting, and golf in his spare time. He casually enjoyed watching his late night tv shows such as Gunsmoke, and NCIS.
David loved spending time with friends and family but most of all his wife Helen. David loved to travel every chance he got. He had an extraordinary talent at figuring how things worked and took them apart to prove it.
He is survived by his wife Wife, Helen Johnson of the home; his mother, Audrey Johnson of Tahlequah Oklahoma; his brothers, Jessie Johnson (Cherie) of Tulsa Oklahoma, and Gerry Johnson (Valerie); his beloved sisters, Laurie Dorr (Gary), Jenny Hall (Will) and Carol Johnson which were all raised in Tahlequah.
A celebration of life will be held from 12pm-4pm lunch will be served at 12pm at the Peggs Community Church. Funeral services start at 2pm at the Peggs Community Church. Interment will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery.
