Obituary for Lizzie "Elizabeth" Wolfe-England-Ratliff

Graveside services for Lizzie "Elizabeth" Wolfe-England-Ratliff will be 10:00 am July 2, 2020, in the Pettit Cemetery Park Hill, Oklahoma. Pallbearers are Greg Ratliff, Brandon Jackson, Phillip Ratliff, Tee Jay Allen, Stockton Allen, DaSenta Hammons and Dalton McDaniel.
Lizzie “Elizabeth” Wolfe Ratliff was born to Willie and Maggie (Pigeon) Wolfe on January 7, 1929, in Stilwell, Oklahoma. She departed this life from Tahlequah, Oklahoma, on June 28, 2020 at the age of 91 years, 5 months, and 21 days. 

Lizzie grew up in the Indian Boarding School and attended Wyandotte and Sequoyah Schools.
Her first language was Cherokee which she could read and write, but was forced to learn English at the boarding school.
She enjoyed quilting, crossword puzzles, playing solitaire. She would schedule vacations around, “The Indian Nations Trail Ride” an annual event from Tahlequah to Ft. Smith, Arkansas where she was the cook.
She worked ten years in the kitchen at the Methodist Children’s Home before beginning work at W.W. Hastings (now part of Northeastern State University). She retired after thirty years of employment there.
Lizzie is preceded in death by her husband, Frank B. Ratliff; and son C.B. Ratliff.
Lizzie is survived by her children, Ahnawake Ratliff of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Theresa Glenn and Ron of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Nora Perez also of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren, Lyvia Jordan, Crystal Jackson, Tee Jay Allen, Rick Watson, Alex Glenn, Andrew Glenn, Theron Perez, Derek Perez, Candace Thayer, Michael Perez, Greg Ratliff, Alecia Arnall, Carrie Ratliff and Amanda Jacobs; she also leaves many, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; friends and loved ones.
