Obituary for Channing Kathleen Burke
Channing
Kathleen Burke passed away peacefully in her sleep, May 2, 2019, a
month before her 40th birthday. Channing was born in Washington, DC on
June 9, 1979.
She graduated from Quince Orchard High School in 1997. She received her Bachelor’s degree in 2003 from the University of Baltimore in Psychology . She earned a master’s degree in Thanatology from Hood College in Maryland in 2005. And finally, earned a second master’s degree in school counseling from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma in 2010. Channing was a licensed therapist. She worked hard to help her clients and was loved by her coworkers. She would do anything for anyone, and never hesitated to speak her mind.
Channing loved going to the movies, reading, cross-stitching and knitting. She loved living on the farm and seeing the horses every day. She probably adopted, or was adopted by, every dog she’s ever seen. Her beloved dog, Sloane, was by her side to the very end.
Channing is survived by her parents; Kathleen and Michael Burke; Sister, Jessica Langston; brother and sister in law, Greyson Burke and Jennifer Connolly; niece nephew, Hannah and Matthew Langston; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Channing was loved by all and will be missed by many.
