She grew up with a big family of five brothers and two sisters, Walter, Newton, James, Tommy, Robert, Barbara and Gloria. On April 14th, 2001, she married the love of her life, Lesley Overholser, sharing 18 wonderful years of love and adventure. They took any opportunity to hit the road together, taking in the beautiful scenery in Oklahoma and the Hot Springs area. There was not a better day spent than out enjoying the sites and experience new places. She always had an eye out for a new ceramic angel to add to her lifelong collection, currently numbering more than 200 angels. Lillian wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, especially when it came to tending to her flower gardens in the spring time. She was a proud mother of two boys, Matt and Barry and had such a heart for others; always helping her fellow man. She never met a stranger and would light up the room everywhere she went. As a Christian by faith, her unconditional love for the Lord was something to be admired. On April 27th, 2019, this loving heart passed from this life at the age of 69 years old. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her.

Obituary - Dwight Lee Cone September 24, 1952 - April 18, 2019
Dwight Lee Cone
September 24, 1952 - April 18, 2019
Obituary for Dwight Lee Cone
The Life of Dwight Cone
It all began on September 24, 1952 in Broken Arrow, OK. The first-born to Floyd and Nora Jean Cone, Dwight was doted on. His mother described in a letter to her mother how cute he looked in a new pair of overalls that the Grandmother had bought him and explained he was getting over his cold. His brother, Larry would come along a year later and the two boys had a perfect early childhood. Living near Inola, they frequently crawled through the fence and Dwight, holding little brothers hand, would walk across the pasture to eat cinnamon toast at Grandma’s house. They loved to hitch a ride on neighbor Moses Tillis’ horse drawn wagon for the 2 mile ride to Fugatt’s store.
When Dwight was 7, the family moved to Wagoner. He attended Ellington Elementary. Walter Sleeper was a neighbor that greatly influenced Dwight’s life by allowing him to ride his horses. He became an excellent horseman, competing in rodeos and county fair events.
When he was a teenager Dwight gained new stepfamilies. His father married Gladys Detrick, and her son Mike became part of the family. Three years later his mother married Tom Carlile. With this marriage, he gained 3 siblings, Parva, Mary Joyce and Steve. In 1971, he graduated from Wagoner High School and the new expanded family moved to Park Hill where Dwight would have land for his beloved horse, Blue. Dwight and Blue traveled around the area to team roping competitions and they were very successful.
Dwight graduated from Bill Willis Skills Center’s Heavy Equipment Program in 1985 and worked at Oklahoma Highway Department, American Foundry, Patton Construction, Jim Hinds Waste Management, City of Tulsa and Becco Construction. He was a hard worker, always on time and willing to take extra hours. His friends at work called him Dudley.
When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed visiting his family, and an occasional visit to the casino. He made good friends with the restaurant and convenience store employees that he visited daily. He loved talking and joking, especially with his nephews and nieces. He struggled with dyslexia and learned to conquer the disability by having an excellent memory and not being afraid to ask questions and get help when he needed it. Preceding him in death were his father Floyd Cone; mother, Jean Carlile; aunts Johnnie Smith and Nelda Lucas; uncles Bob Cone and Glenn Cone. He is survived by Brother Larry and wife Vickie of Park Hill; Father, Tom Carlile of Park Hill; Aunt Barbara Lorene Thompson and husband Bud of Tulsa; Sister Parva and husband Frank of Seneca, MO; Sister Mary and husband Steve Tinker of Jenks and Brother Steve Carlile of Charleston, SC. He leaves behind 2 nieces, Sharla and husband Kevin Burgess of Bixby; Karmen and husband Corey Brown of Wagoner and 2 nephews Mike and wife Aubrey Bradley and Sam Bradley of Seneca, MO.

Obituary - Jimmie Dean Burton April 3, 1947 - April 21, 2019
Obituary for Jimmie Dean Burton
Funeral
services for Jimmie Dean Burton are 9:30 am April 25,2019 at First
Baptist Church, Tahlequah, with Cherokee County Sheriff Chaplain Scott
Wolf officiating. Jim's earthly body will be laid to rest among the
heroes at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, honoring Jim's belief that "We
don't KNOW them all, but we DO OWE them all." Pall bearers are Cherokee
County Sheriffs Deputies.
Cherokee County Deputy Sheriff, Jim Burton began his new life with our Savior on Easter morning, April 21. 2019. Born April 3, 1947 in Bartlesville, Jim joined the USA Navy immediately after high school, serving during the Vietnam War. After completing his military co,,itmen6t, he married Margaret Luinstra and began a career un law enforcement and faithfully served his community for 50 years. In 2008 he was awarded Outstanding Officer of the Year by the Tahlequah Elks Lodge #2601 for his service with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marge, of the home; two sons, Jim Burton II of Hulbert and Scott Burton of Tulsa; three grandchildren, Jessyca Burton of Welling and Jacob and Jordan Burton of Hulbert; a sister, Linda Edwards of Mannford; and three brothers, Richard Burton of Whitman, Arizona, Johnny Burton of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Christopher Burton of Okesa.
Jim considered himself to be a "peace officer" and this showed in his everyday work. Early in his career, he broke up a brawl in a bar parking lot and told everyone to "just go home." One of the group pulled a knife and slashed a tire on his patrol vehicle. In his usual mild manner Jim stated, "Now why'd you want to go and do that? Now I have to take you to jail."
Jim loved his children and grandchildren dearly, and frequently publicly thanked God for the joy they brought into his life. Jim never met a stranger and took great pleasure in helping others whatever their need or cir4cumstance. He freely gave of all he had, asking God to give him more so he could give more to others. He gave generously and sacrificially to the Oklahoma Baptist Home for Children, John 3:16 Mission and the Salvation Army. The more he helped others, the happier he became. Jim had a true servant's heart and it showed in his everyday life.
Who then can ever keep God's love away? If we have trouble or calamity , if we're hungry or sick or penniless or imprisoned or threatened with death, does that mean that God doesn't love us any more? Oh no, for I am convinces that nothing can ever keep God's love away. Death can't - angels won't - and all the power of hell itself cannot keep God's love away. Our worries about tomorrow, our fears about today, where we are - high above the sky or in the deepest ocean - there's just NOTHING that can ever separate us from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus Our Lord. Romans 9:35-38.

Lowell Lehman, PhD. May 28, 1932 – April 10, 2019
Dr. Lowell “Chief” Lehman, 86, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, April 10, 2019.
Born Leonard Lowell Lehman to parents Laurence and Ivy (Dent) Lehman, May 28, 1932 in Tempe, Arizona, the fourth of nine children. The family moved to Tahlequah when Lowell was in the 3rd grade. Lowell met Janelle, the love of his life, at Tahlequah High School in 1949, and they married June 1, 1954. They had 3 children: Becky in 1955, Len in 1958, and Paul in 1964.
Lowell received his BA in Education from then Northeastern State College in 1953, earned his MME from the University of Tulsa in 1960, and was very proud to complete his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Music Education from the University of Oklahoma in 1980.

Lowell received his BA in Education from then Northeastern State College in 1953, earned his MME from the University of Tulsa in 1960, and was very proud to complete his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Music Education from the University of Oklahoma in 1980.
Lowell could play all the brass instruments in any band. He was a first chair tuba player, stand up and electric bass player, conductor, composer, and arranger. He also played in several local and touring bands over the years.
Lowell began teaching primary and secondary school students in Anderson, Missouri, then in Muskogee, Oklahoma for several years. He went on to teach at Northeastern State University from 1966 to his retirement in 1996. At Northeastern he developed the jazz program in instrumental music, the wind ensemble, the brass choir, and increased the marching band to over 150 members. He was extremely proud to have founded the Muskogee Jazz Festival and NSU's Green Country Jazz Festival, which attracts high school and college bands from several states, has brought national acts including Count Basie, Doc Severinsen, Buddy Rich, and Woody Herman to headline over the years, and is still going strong after 50 years.
Lowell received the Governor's Arts Award from Oklahoma Governor Keating in 1999. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 2002 and the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame in 2010. He was also recognized as a Distinguished NSU Alumnus in 2010. But he was most proud of the success and of the love of so many former students on whose lives he left an indelible mark.
Lowell was a proud Mason and Shriner. He had been president of the Tulsa Chapter of the English Speaking Union and board member for several music and education organizations, including president of the student member organization of the Music Educators National Conference.
Lowell was preceded in death by his brilliant, beautiful, and loving wife, Janelle Goodwin Lehman, in 2017. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and by siblings Ivy Lys, Barbara, Larry, Dianne, and Leslie.
He is survived by his sister Jackie (Fred – deceased) Davidson, brothers Stretch (Rhonda) Head and Lyle (Brenda) Lehman, daughter Becky (Larry) Coffman, sons Len (Jin) Lehman and Paul (Kathy) Lehman, grandchildren Sam (Samantha) Lehman, Susan (Naomi) Lehman, and Leah Teng, and great-grandsons Evan and Ethan Lehman, as well as a multitude of students and friends whom he considered family.
A memorial will be held at the NSU Jazz Lab in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 28, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his honor to Shriners Hospitals or Save the Music Foundation. Memorial cards may be addressed to 603 SW Duke Ave, Bentonville, AR, 72712.

Obituary - Arlene Chambers February 10, 1959 – April 11, 2019
Arlene Chambers
February 10, 1959 – April 11, 2019
Graveside services for Arlene Chambers
will be held on Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Caney Cemetery
with Brother Luther Taylor officiating. Online condolences for Arlene’s
family may be left at www.reedculver.com
Honorary Pallbearers for Arlene include Mitch Parnell, Ethan Chambers, Brad Jennings, David Jennings, Jakob Moore, Darreld “Boo” Jennings, Tracy Eaton, and Patrick Eaton. Arlene Chambers was born on Tuesday, February 10th, 1959 in Fort Worth, TX, the daughter of Mige Leonard and Elnor Jassadean (Evans) Brackett. She grew up with one brother and four sisters, Michael, Patricia, Kathy, Donna, and Nancy. At an early age, she could be found out skating with her friends, riding motorcycles or jumping on the trampoline. She was always a quiet and easy going kid who never got in any trouble. However, everyone knew if you made her mad, you better run. Almost every weekend, she would visit the zoo with her family. That love of animals never went away and you could see it in the way she cared for her dog Rex. Once she had a family of her own, vacations became a tradition she would carry on and make her own. One of her biggest accomplishments in life was her trip to Hawaii, where she climbed the Diamond-Head Volcano. Family continued to be the most important part of her life always putting them first, never taking them for granted, and always making time to lend a helping hand. If ever needed, you could depend on Arlene to defend the ones she loved at all cost. The absolute greatest joy came from her children, and watching Tyler race on the weekend. On her down time, she could be found watching ghost hunting shows like the latest episode of Forged in Fire; she was fascinated with the paranormal. Raised a city girl, she followed her husband Dwayne and moved to the country, which became her second love, making the city life a distant memory. A relaxing day, hunting wild onions, crocheting, or simply going camping was time well spent. She was spunky, kind hearted and brought joy to many others. On Thursday, April 11th, 2019, at the age of 60, she passed from this life to join her precious family in Heaven.
She is preceded in death by her mother, daughter, Dana Brackett, sisters, Patricia Brackett Uetrecht, Kathy Brackett, and Donna Brackett.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Donald Dwayne Chambers, father Mige Brackett, son, Tyler Chambers of Welling, OK, daughter, Jessica Moore and husband Brian of Moore, OK, brother, Michael Brackett and wife Brenda of Joshua, TX, sister, Nancy Eaton and husband Kenny of Bowie, TX, along with her grandchildren Jakob and BrieAnn Moore of Moore, OK, as well as, a host of friends and loved ones.

Obituary - Russell Craig Southerland April 1, 1959 - April 2, 2019
Russell Craig Southerland
April 1, 1959 - April 2, 2019
Obituary for Russell Craig Southerland
RUSSELL CRAIG (Rusty) SOUTHERLAND
Also know as “Brother” and “Uncle Brother”
Russell Craig Southerland was born on April 1, 1959 to Charles Raymond Southerland and Loretta Janet (Watson) Southerland in Odessa, Texas. He passed away at his home in Tahlequah on April 2, 2019 of heart failure at the age of 60.
Russell proudly served his country on a nuclear submarine as a sonar technician and had many stories to tell about that time in his life. After leaving the Navy he worked as a machinist until he was declared disabled.
There were many things he enjoyed doing. Some of his favorites were being with one or all of his four sisters, spending time with his kids and grandkids, and going on motorcycle rides with Terry Bigby, his best friend since 7th grade. Terry’s wife Lori (Russell’s sister from another mother) commented that they were such close friends that Russell went on their first date with them. He also loved making plans for trips/gardening/cooking with LynnDee, who was the only person in his life closer than a sister.
He had some health issues when he was a child so he was especially precious to his family. Growing up with four sisters is rough. They were known to dress him like a girl in full Easter dress, with hat and purse to match, and then take a picture of him to show others for the rest of his life. He survived none the worse for it and had a very close bond with his sisters.
From that bond came a great love for his nieces and nephews. He liked to think of himself as their protector. He was known to comment about how lucky he was to have them in his life. He was especially proud of his son Adam, Daughter-in-Law Lacey, and daughter Sarah. His face lit up when he spoke of them.
Russell had a huge heart and was not afraid to show his emotions to those he loved. He was known to spend his last dime on someone in need or a loved one and did so on many occasions throughout his life. Sometimes it even meant that he would have to do without himself.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Joel Ray and a very special Brother-in-law, James Ferguson. He is survived by his two children, Adam Smith and wife Lacey, and Sarah Butler; cherished grandchildren Chailyn, Emmalee, William, Tristan, Chloe, and Cali, whom he loved more than anything in the world; four sisters, Frann Thompson and husband Larry, Katie Rodgers, Deb Corn and husband Mike and Elaina Rutherford and husband Tom. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews and some very special extended family.
He will be missed daily by all, but more so when his sisters go on the annual sibling trip, or when Terry goes on a ride without him, or as LynnDee works in her garden.
