Lillian Mae (West) Overholser was born on August 24th, 1949 in Tulsa, OK, daughter of James Walter and Nelly Mae (Crouch) West. She grew up with a big family of five brothers and two sisters, Walter, Newton, James, Tommy, Robert, Barbara and Gloria. On April 14th, 2001, she married the love of her life, Lesley Overholser, sharing 18 wonderful years of love and adventure. They took any opportunity to hit the road together, taking in the beautiful scenery in Oklahoma and the Hot Springs area. There was not a better day spent than out enjoying the sites and experience new places. She always had an eye out for a new ceramic angel to add to her lifelong collection, currently numbering more than 200 angels. Lillian wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, especially when it came to tending to her flower gardens in the spring time. She was a proud mother of two boys, Matt and Barry and had such a heart for others; always helping her fellow man. She never met a stranger and would light up the room everywhere she went. As a Christian by faith, her unconditional love for the Lord was something to be admired. On April 27th, 2019, this loving heart passed from this life at the age of 69 years old. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Walter McCoy, Newton Edward West and Tommy West.
She is survived by her husband Lesley Overholser of the home, sons, Matt Edward Cannon, Barry Joe Cannon and family of North Carolina, brothers, James W. West and wife Marsha of Wagoner, OK and Robert West and wife Gayle of Tahlequah, OK, sisters, Barbara Ellen O’Brien of Miami, OK, and Gloria Dean Sinclair of Tahlequah, OK with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loved ones.
