Robert Edwin Sweeney was born on Thursday, March 11th, 1965, in Ft. Bragg, NC, the son of Joseph Robert and Ramona Sue (George) Sweeney. He grew up in a family with two sisters, Peggy and Stephanie. He attended school and graduated from Tahlequah High School with the class of 1983.He then began his studies in Criminal Justice at NSU, and attained his HVAC certification. While he was in school, he loved wrestling, football, and playing tuba in the band. He earned his living as a peace officer in Westville, OK, and working as a security guard, jobs he loved most dearly. The love of his life was his daughter, Ramona Elaine. Any time spent with her was good. He was so happy to have a Sunday or Holiday to spend with the family he adored, sharing a meal and some really good stories. Whenever he had time away from work, the man was headed for the nearest fishing hole or ready to go deer hunting. He loved the outdoors. When football season rolled around, he loved watching the Miami Dolphins play football. He was a member of the ARA and a certified gun dealer, one of the best carpenters in the area, and was so very proud of his Cherokee Heritage. He was a faithful member of the Native American Church of Oklahoma and a member of the Polecat Ceremonial Grounds of Kellyville, where he served as Pole Boy for 4 years. Robert was easy going, kind hearted, people loving, never self-centered or pity seeking, and a really wonderful man. His passed from this life on Sunday, July 21st, 2019 in Tahlequah, OK. We will miss this brother, father, cousin, and friend.
