James
Carlon Battenfield was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 22, 1947, to
Tony Harold and Hattie Lee (Burnett) Battenfield. He was called home on
August 11, 2019, at the age of 71 years 8 months and 20 days.
A lifelong resident of Cherokee County James was a 1967 graduate of Tahlequah High School. He then enlisted in the US Army and then the Army Reserves. Following an honorable discharge he found work repairing washers and dryers. He enjoyed collecting and repairing watches too.
James attended the Church of God and served as a Deacon there.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Kathryn Ryals, Thelma Dibbler, and Nina Battenfield.
He is survived by his brother, Paul and wife Thelma Battenfield .
