Wesley Dean Girty Sr. was born December 24, 1977 a true Christmas gift to his parents Robert Lee and Flossie (Sunday) Girty. He was one of three children that blessed the home and had a personality that was bigger than life. Wesley was a Christian by faith and professed his faith as a child, being baptized by Leon Jamison at Welling General Baptist Church. A true family man, his heart overflowed with love and kindness for his family and friends. Make no mistake the most important people in his life were his sons. Life was full of enjoyment for Wesley, a few of the things he liked to do include, fishing, swimming and floating the creek on a nice warm day. He loved to make people laugh and was not satisfied until everyone around him had a smile on their face. He never missed a chance to watch a sporting event with wrestling and baseball being his sports of choice. Like every man, Wesley had his favorite dream car anyone that knew him, knew the Ford Bronco was that greatest vehicle to roll down the road. Wesley loved to collect comic books, hot wheels, and shot glasses. He was an amazing son, brother, father, and friend that will be missed by all.
Wesley was preceded in death by one son Wesley “Shuggs” Girty Jr., two aunts; Gayle Sunday and Stephanie Sunday seven uncles; Jerry Thompson Andy Girty, Billy Joe Sunday Sr., John C. Sunday Jr., Nick Sunday, Tommy Owens, and Frank Dornan.
