Daggie Mae was born and raised in the Rocky Mountain community. She attended school at the Chilocco Indian School and Wyandotte where she stayed at the Wyandotte Boarding House. She went to NSU and West Ark University where she earned her nursing certification. She worked as a nurse for many years and she loved taking care of people. She was a faithful member of the Echota Baptist Church. Her pride and joy was her yard. She mowed her grass almost daily. She enjoyed working outside and around the house. She always stayed busy whether mowing, burning brush, working in the garden or just doing something to make her yard perfect. She enjoyed visiting with people if you could get her to slow down enough. Daggie loved her family. She touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Thomas E. Walker; her daughter Imogene Walker Glass; her son Danny Walker; and her brothers Swimmer Ketcher, David Ketcher, Paul Cooksey and Roy Cooksey.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Vincent Scraper and wife Sharon of Tahlequah, Marilyn Walker Weaver of Tahlequah, Leona (Susie) Walker of Tahlequah and Mark Walker and wife Leisa of Hulbert; her sister Ella Mae Worley of Rocky Mountain; her brother William Hummingbird Sand Springs; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.

Daggie  always reminded me of my grandma. How she looked and acted. I met her at Cedar Tree Baptist Church while I was there for three years.
