Obituary for Felicia Alcorta

Born on October 22, 1960, in Nampa, Idaho, the daughter of Frank Edward Albisu and Dorothy Jean Alcorta, of McDermitt, Nevada. She passed away peacefully in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on March 2, 2016, at the age of 55.

Felicia moved to Fallon, Nevada at the age of three, later attending E C Best Elementary, West Side Junior High and Churchill County High School. Felicia loved to dance and sing, at a young age, playing the accordion, piano, and performing in ballet, jazz and tap dance.

Felicia much-preferred household chores with the love of cooking and especially baking memorable homemade family recipes i.e., pepper steak, German chocolate cake, and cookies. In 1975 she moved with her family to Mill Valley, CA and attended Tamalpais High School graduating in her Class of 1978. In the fall of 1980, Felicia was struck (t-boned) by a drunken driver who was speeding and ran a red light. Felicia returned to us after several days in a Coma and months rehabilitating from her physical injuries but struggling throughout her life with psychological issues resulting from her severe head injury.

Felicia, a faithful Christian, was baptized in Saint Raphael Catholic Church, where she found peace in her faith. She moved closer to her mother in Fresno, CA shortly after baptism and later moving to Oklahoma in the mid-'90s. Felicia was a loving devoted daughter, sister, and mother who was passionate about protecting those that she loved.

Felicia is preceded in death by her loving grandparents, mother, and father, and survived by her loving children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Felicia's interment will be next to her mother and other beloved family members at Brown Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Felicia's journey has just begun
We don't think of her as gone away
Her journey's just begun
As life holds so many facets...
This earth is only one
Think of her resting from the sorrows and the tears
The place of love, warmth, and comfort
That has no time, days or years
Think of her living in the lives of those she touched
For nothing loved is ever lost
When loved by one so much
Rest In Peace beautiful ONE.
