Timothy "Tim" Allen Ragsdale Sr.
April 15, 1962 – September 8, 2019
Timothy Allen Ragsdale Sr, or “Timmy” to
his family and friends, was born on Sunday, April 15th, 1962 in
Tahlequah, OK, the son of Benjamin Harrison and Margie Mona (Stanley)
Ragsdale. He was raised with his seven brothers and four sisters,
attended school, and then began his working career as a carpenter and in
home repair. His last position was with Turbine Masters, and he was
always ready to go do a good day's work. He was a dedicated and loyal
employee. When the working day was through, he was ready to head to the
creek and do a little floating and swimming. Timmy was an avid four
wheeler and dirt biking was the best. He was fond of his gaming birds
and raised and rode horses whenever time permitted. There was no one he
enjoyed spending time with more than his adored children and
grandchildren. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor, liked to joke
and cut up, and just being around the family he adored. His
grandchildren kept him young and there was never too much time in the
company of Papa. Tim was his own man, and he followed his own rules,
clear up to the day he died. Tim passed from this life on Sunday,
September 8th, 2019, he was 57 years old and leaves a void that cannot
be filled.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Benjamin Franklin and wife Willie Nora (Jones) Ragsdale and Bill and Elsie (Thomas) Stanley, his mother and father, and his six brothers, Blaine Ragsdale, Larry Ragsdale, Mark Ragsdale, and Dale Ragsdale, Tommy Wayne Ragsdale and Joe Michael Ragsdale.
Those left to cherish his memory include his adored children, Timothy Ragsdale Jr of Van Buren, AR., Misty Taylor of Hulbert, OK., Corey Ragsdale of Shreveport, LA., and Benjamin De Vita of Adair, OK. He leaves one brother and four sisters, Jasper Ragsdale of Peggs, OK, Stella Vaillancourt of Tahlequah, Teresa Adams his twin sister of Tahlequah, Lois Sarten and husband Dewayne of Kansas, OK, and Cathy Jackson also of Tahlequah, OK. He lives on in his seven grandchildren, Sebastian Flores, Gage Ragsdale, Christian Flores, Kierstyn Ragsdale, Aiden Ragsdale, America Martinez, and Ashtian Taylor as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services for Timothy Allen “Tim” Ragsdale will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Maxey Thompson officiating. His visitation will be held on Friday. September 13, 2019 at Reed-Culver Chapel beginning at noon until 6:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Greenleaf Cemetery in Tahlequah, OK. Pallbearers include Timothy Ragsdale Jr., Aaron Ragsdale, Misty Taylor, Benjamin De Vita, Jason Ragsdale and Michael Jackson.Online condolences for the family may be left at www.reedculver.com.
