Obituary for Jerry Dale Ketcher

Funeral Services For Jerry Dale Ketcher are 11:00 AM February 4, 2020 at Green Country Funeral Home. Visitations are Sunday February 2, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Green Country.
Jerry will be taken to Calvary Indian Baptist Church Tuesday February 3, 2020 with visitation and viewing at 6:00 pm followed by a short devotion and refreshments. His body will be laid to rest in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery at 1:00 PM following funeral service.

Jerry Dale Ketcher, Welling Oklahoma departed this life on Thursday, January 30, 2020. Jerry was born on July 25, 1947 at Tahlequah, Oklahoma to John and Susie (Dry) Ketcher. Jerry was employed by Indian Health Service W. W. Hastings Indian Hospital as a Registered Nurse. He retired in 2007 after 26 years in Federal Service.

Jerry grew up Tahlequah where he graduated from high school in 1965. Jerry enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1968 and served two tours of duty in Viet Nam. Jerry graduated from Northeastern State University in 1989 with degrees in Socialogy and Psychology. He entered the Bacone College School of Nursing and graduated in in 1994. Jerry was a member of Calvary Indian Baptist Church. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour on August 23, 2006. He had a servant's heart.

Jerry liked fishing, hunting, bowling, golfing, but did not excel in any of them. He liked to camp, and travel making many trips throughout the states. He looked forward to attending the Annual 12th Calvary Regiment Reunion to be with many of his combat brothers.

Jerry is survived by his wife Lenora of the home; son Jeremy Ketcher and wife Faye of Tahlequah Oklahoma; two grandsons Justin Ketcher and Jacob Ketcher of Tahlequah Oklahoma; two granddaughters Cameron Lyn Blankenship, Joxie Louanna Ketcher of Tahlequah Oklahoma; and many other nieces, nephews and host of family.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brother John, and an infant sister.
