Earl Martin Presley, 72, of Tahlequah, passed away on June 12, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 18th, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Tahlequah with Pastor Charlie Keim officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held at 9am to 7pm on Monday June 17th, 2019 at Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.comEarl Martin Presley was born in Tahlequah, OK to Don and Geneva (Wright) Presley on April 7, 1947. He was the fifth of seven siblings. He was a 1965 graduate of Tahlequah High School. In September of 1966, he was sent to Vietnam, as a soldier for the US Army’s Big Red One Infantry. He returned home in September of 1968. Over the next thirty years he was known as one of the best in the floor covering business. From 1991 to 1997 he owned and operated Oak Park Motel in Tahlequah. Once retired he enjoyed morning coffee with his buddies, manicuring his property, the casino, the lake, and family time. Most of all he enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities and functions. He was a loving devoted father to his three children, and Papa to his seven grandchildren.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents Don and Geneva (Wright) Presley, his brothers Donald Jean Presley and Jack Presley, his sister Cathy Marie Kelley and son-in-law Michael Craig Waits.
Earl is survived by daughter Shelli Lou Brittain (Dale) Coke, and daughter Larissa Ruth Waits, all of Tahlequah. Son Trice Martin (Jessica) Presley of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. His brothers John and Rex (Pat) Presley, and sister Pat Cook, all of Tahlequah.
Earl’s grandchildren, Houston Shane Brittain of Tulsa, Colby Wayne Brittain of New York City, Cameron Trice Presley Burchett, Abigail Ann Burchett, and Caden Benn Waits of Tahlequah. Averie Maye Presley and Kellen Martin Presley of Arkansas. Also, many other dearly loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are requested to the Southside Baptist Church New Roof Fund.
