Services
honoring the life of Ira Charles (Chuck) Paxton will be Saturday, June
22, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Green Country Funeral Home, 203 S. Commercial
Road, Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Ira Charles Paxton was born August 1, 1942, to Ira James and Dorothy (McDaniel) Paxton in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at the age of 76 years 10 months and 12 days.
In 1960 Chuck graduated from Okmulgee High School. During his lifetime he worked in printing, sold life insurance for Security Mutual Insurance Company and finished by owning his own business with Cornwell Tools.
In 1961 he married Juanita Hayes an they had two daughters, Eileen and Tina.
On December 23, 1976, he married Linda Glenn, the love of his life. They enjoyed 42 years together.
Chuck enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening, and feeding the deer and birds. He spent a lot of time working in his shop making beautiful frames, memory boxes, pens and lots of other things. Most of all Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family which included the park members and the Cookson United Methodist church members.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Dorothy Paxton: and his daughter, Eileen.
Survivors include is wife, Linda of the home; daughter, Tina and Rob Carr of Edmond; two grandsons, Travis and Sarah Bowman of Fresno, California, and Jake Bowman of Edmond; sister Carol and Tony Morris of Cashion; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
