May 5, 1932 - Jan 5, 2021Luther Samuel Reed born on May 5, 1932 in Quapaw, Ottawa County, Oklahoma to Eugene Reed and Rhoda Petrey Reed. He passed from this life on January 5, 2021 at his home in Park Hill, Oklahoma. He was pre-deceased by the love of his life his wife Leola, daughter Lannette Generaux and son-in-law Phillip Houston. He left surviving four daughters Linda Holloway & husband Paul, Lorna Connelly & husband Mike, Loann Houston, Lisa Coon & husband Frank (Sonny); son Les Reed & wife Janie Reed, who Luther claimed as his favorite daughter-in-law; 1 brother Earl Reed & wife Tita Reed; and Eddie Farner, his neighbor who Luther loved as a son; 18 grandchildren & their spouses; 58 great grandchildren & their spouses; 12 great great grandchildren. Luther was a mechanic by trade but was a jack of all trades. He never met a stranger. He never tired of helping anyone in need. He loved to tease, especially his family. He has gone to be with the love of his life. We love you Dad.
All of the family gives heartfelt thanks to grandson Matthew Anderson, who put his life on hold and selflessly, willingly and faithfully taken care of his grandparents over the last years of their lives.
Funeral and burial will be held at the Vian Holiness Church on Tuesday, January 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
