Betty Sue Fodder-Hair was born on Monday, October 10th, 1938 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of William Gray and Florence Helen (Bird) Fodder. She grew up with her brother, Clarence Gray Fodder. She attended at Bacone and then Vinita, where she obtained her LPN degree. She married Alfred Franklin and together they had three sons and two daughters. She would later marry Raymond Hair in April of 1988 in Arkansas, and they raised their family .She was a dedicated nurse and caregiver. When she wasn’t working, she loved caring for her family, each child, grandchild and great grandchild was her pride and joy. They were always welcomed into her home with a hug, and the best fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, frybread, and her brown gravy was enough to make her light as air biscuits even better. She was constantly working on arts and crafts, doing beadwork, painting portraits, floral design, and making baby blankets, Bible covers, and baby car seat covers for everyone in the family. She was always there for her family, listening, giving sage advice, and loving each and every one. She was usually on the phone keeping up with all of the families activities, and always in the company of her canine companion, Dog. Betty liked yard sales, there was always a bargain to be had, and spending a little time watching Little House on the Prairie. A devout Christian, Betty was a member of Cedar Tree Baptist Church, and really enjoyed singing in the choir. Raymond passed in 2009 and Betty kept up with all of her activities until her health began to fail her. She moved into Cherokee County Nursing Home where she enjoyed her many friends and all the staff that cared for her. She went to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, January 19th, 2020 with her loved ones by her side. She was 81 years old. She leaves a large and loving family to remember her and her remarkable life.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother, Clarence, three sons, Danny Franklin, Hal Franklin, Ryan Bird, and Delaine Bird, her husband and one grandson, Jorge Moreno.
