TALIHINA, OK- Funeral services for Marcellus Jobe Beng will be conducted
on Tuesday, January 21st, 2020 at 1:00 Pm at Reed-Culver Chapel with
Brother Dennis Sixkiller officiating. His family will receive visitors
on Monday, January 20th, 2020 beginning at 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at
Reed-Culver Chapel . Online condolences for Marcellus’s family may be

Honorary pallbearers for Marcellus include Gene Brown, August Torres, Rex Johnson, Paul Laney, and Kenny Baxter. Marcellus Jobe Benge was born on Tuesday, November 3rd, 1964 in Talihina, OK, the son of Eryon Leslie and Frances C. (Betsey)Benge. He grew up with his brother, Edward Lee Pilcher, and attended school in Okmulgee, OK. Upon graduating, he began his studies at NSU in Tahlequah, OK, and obtained his degree in accounting. He earned his living as a carpenter in the construction industry. He was the proud father of two children, Kryste and Nathan Allen , he was so proud of all their accomplishments. He was engaged to marry Brenda Starr, and there was nothing they enjoyed more than each others company and spending time with the grandkids, Andree, Cufe, and Ryne. Spare time from work was enjoyed doing a little fishing at his favorite spot, sitting in his favorite easy chair watching OU football, and going to Rocklahoma, listening to his favorite bands. He was a loving son, fiancé, father and grandfather. He passed from this life on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020 in Tahlequah, OK, he was 55years old, and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, his brother Edward, and his grandparents.
Those left to celebrate his life include his children, Kryste Benge-Carter and husband Jordan of Shawnee, OK, and Nathan Benge of Tahlequah, OK. He also leaves his fiancé, Brenda Starr of Morris, OK, and lives on in his grandchildren, Andree Benge, Cufe Shawnee and Ryne Carter, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
