Obituary for Christopher Smith

Christopher Smith, 48 of Clinton, Missouri passed away, Sunday, August 30th, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital.
Christopher was born in Moore, Oklahoma on June 9, 1972.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan (Speake) Smith, his maternal grandparents, Tom and Ruth Speake of Tahlequah and his paternal grandmother, Margaret May Smith of Welling.
He is survived by his daughter Hunter Hamid and granddaughter Emberlee, plus baby sister expected in December 2020 of Shawnee, Kansas; son, Jaden of Enid, Oklahoma; sisters, Jennifer Stevens of Crawford, Colorado, Elizabeth Reinken of Raymore, Missouri; his father Austin Smith of Harpswell ME; and paternal grandfather Harley of Welling, Oklahoma.
Christopher worked as on over-the-road truck driver, a job he both loved and excelled at. He was also a graduate of Centriq, Kansas City, Missouri where he earned his Microsoft Technology Associates Degree
In his free time Christopher enjoyed computer games and all forms of technology. He also loved fishing, talking about his Cherokee heritage, Star Wars movies, lazy Saturdays watching the OU Sooners and Sundays with homemade queso, wings and the Pittsburg Steelers.
Although Christopher left us much too soon, we have memories of him and he will be fondly talked about among friends, family and to his grandchildren who will no doubt never tire of hearing about their Poppop.
There will be a graveside service Saturday September 12, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Tahlequah City Cemetery Gazebo under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.
